South Sanilac Veterinary Hospital is Hiring a Veterinarian Near Melvin, MI

South Sanilac Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time veterinarian for our busy small animal practice. We are a fun, modern, small clinic dedicated to bringing the most up to date care to our patients. Please read the following points and decide if we sound like a good fit!

1. Do you like surgery? Great! We do surgery 2 days a week, you can do all the surgeries you want. We have gas anesthesia and a full anesthetic monitoring machine.

2. Do you not like surgery? Great! You never have to cut anything ever again, Dr. Margaret is happy to do all the surgeries.

3. Do you like seeing exotics or farm animals? Great! While most of our patients are of the dog/cat variety, we do see the occasional pocket pet, duck or chicken. There is even a healthy market for a small ruminant veterinary service. We have a huge indoor space which would be great for haul in appointments.

4. Are exotics and farm animals not your bag? Great! We will only expect you to see animals you are comfortable working with. No judgement here!

5. Do you like to laugh and not take yourself too seriously? Great! We are a fairly tight knit group of veterinary-nerd weirdos who regularly make pop-culture jokes and references. If that's not your thing but you think you can live with it, we don't judge so feel free to apply! Just know that is what you are walking into.

6. Do you like a 4 day work week and the ability to be flexible with your schedule? WHO DOESN'T? We are only open 8-5 M-F. We will let you pick your 4 days and if you need to change it around on occasion, that is awesome! Change is good for the soul.

7. Do you like modern digital radiography, cool ultrasound machines and really great blood machines? Perfect! We just upgraded all of our diagnostic equipment and it even has that new-laboratory smell. We love getting answers for our patients!

8. And finally, do you enjoy living and working in a small community? Sweet! We have curated an amazing client base. We believe in treating people with respect, but we also insist on being treated with respect in return. We love our community.

This is a fun area to live in (one of Michigan's best kept secrets) if you love the water, hiking, art, music, garage sales, antique stores, winter sports, summer sports, horses, access to major airports. There is something for everyone here, unless you hate nature and grass and farm implements - then you should probably live in the suburbs or the city.

If any of this or all of it appeals to you, please send a copy of your resume or just give us a call. Better yet, just stop by! We are looking for our forever veterinary associate, we promise to give you a good home.

Also, if you "get" this ad, you get it. I could have listed all the expected duties and responsibilities of a veterinarian, but if you are a vet, you know best what you do. We love a good collab so mentorship is available if needed, or high-fives as needed or a shoulder to cry on. We got you covered.
